3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 Tbs vegetable oil
1 cup warm water
Mix flour,
baking powder and salt into lg bowl. Add oil and water. Mix
until well blended. Turn the mixture out on a floured board
and knead 3-5 minutes or until the dough is soft and no longer
sticky. Cover and set aside for 20-30 minutes. Divide the dough
into 16-18 balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Keep them covered
with a damp cloth. Roll out each ball on a floured board with
a rolling pin in a circle about 6 inches in diameter and 1/8-1/4
inch thick. Cook tortillas on hot, ungreased griddle until lightly
browned on each side. As they are done, place them in a cloth-lined
basket or bowl and cover to keep warm and moist.
