101 Vegetarian Recipes

Homemade Granola

4 cups rolled oats (or combined rolled oats, barley, wheat, rye)
1/2 cup chopped nuts or sunflower nutmeats
1 Tbs cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground allspice

Mix ingredients and then put in a greased baking pan.

Pour over a combination of:

1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 Tbs vanilla

Bake at 325 deg for 30 minutes, mixing every 10 minutes.

While still warm, add:

1/2 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup raisins (or dates or any other dried fruits like cranberries)

Let cool, and store in an airtight container.
