1 can Hunts
Lite or Healthy Choice spaghetti sauce or salt-free tomato juice
if you desire a soupier consistency
1 can diced tomatoes (with chili peppers if desired)
1 can plain diced tomatoes (in addition to above)
1 cup salsa (desired spiciness - I prefer mild)
1 tsp minced garlic (or more
to taste)
1 head cabbage, shredded or chopped 1 cup each chopped/shredded:
celery, carrots, onions, mushrooms, yellow squash, zucchini,
turnip, and whatever else you might have in your fridge.
Mrs. Dash and Italian seasonings to taste
Bring to
a boil for 10 minutes and then simmer until all veggies are
tender.
You now
have a soup that you can eat in any quantities as many times
a day as needed. It will help suppress your appetite and burn
those calories.
This "soup"
can be the base for spaghetti sauce and chili by just adding
the appropriate ingredients.
